To gain experience and learn from others who have achieved steps I am yet to take in my career, and to maintain a strong professional network. 

What benefits did you gain from it?
Learnt key details about managing upwards and delivering a strategy pitch to a more senior member of staff.

Yes, having a good professional network and ability to lean on others experiences in a relaxed setting and getting able to bounce ideas or questions of someone has been invaluable. 

What changes have you made a year on? 
I have put the skills and approach to manage upwards into practise.

It provides me an opportunity to learn about new technologies, trends, and cultural shifts from younger employees and senior leaders

Developed more empathetic leadership skills by understanding the needs and motivations of different generations within the workforce.

I chose to do Reverse Mentoring as I wanted to get mentored from someone in a different field than mine.

What benefits did you gain from it?
I learned a lot from my mentor in terms of managing global stakeholders as my mentor had lived in different countries.

I’m now better able to manage my stakeholders and have a good work life balance.

What changes have you made a year on? 
I still follow the learnings which I got from my mentor and apply them in my professional life
